San Francisco’s Bus Stops Get Multiplayer Gaming

Tech giant Yahoo has installed huge poster-size digital touchscreens at 20 bus stops in San Francisco, mostly in the downtown area. Transit passengers from 20 specified neighborhoods will get the chance to compete against each other in different video games such as futuristic touch-screen trivia quiz regarding local sports team, along with puzzles and others. For incentive, The neighborhood that racks up the most points before the end of next week will get to host a block party featuring the rock band OK Go.

The screens were made possible by advertising alliance between Yahoo, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, and Clear Channel. This kind of thing excites me really, and I cannot wait for this idea to be implemented at bus stops all around the world. The only downside though, is that you might miss the bus while getting too engaged playing the games with your buddy.
